Our Mission

Chicago Arts Platform is a non-partisan citizen group organized by students at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The goal of Chicago Arts Platform is to get "Arts in Chicago" on the agenda for the 2011 mayoral race. In response to the election CAP is:
  • Building a voting constituency by registering SAIC community members to vote and,
  • Asking the Chicago community “What is Your Arts Agenda?” Answers are collected on postcards that will be forwarded directly to the mayoral candidates and also will be used to build consensus around an arts agenda platform for the City of Chicago.
